The focus is on making the instructor come across in a friendly and engaging manner, while being succinct and clear.
Part of an on-going science communication project, Felix’s work as both Director and Creative Director has spanned more than 5 years. Multiple trips to Mongolia, the Great Basin in the US and upstate New York.
Felix’s passion for telling the story of the science and the scientists has translated throughout this project, with a particular focus on how to make complicated subjects simple & understandable.
Intended for consumption alongside the fuller story here, this video serves as a simple introduction to the subject of the Late Devonian Mass Extinction research in Mongolia.
Expanding on the success of the first Mongolia piece above, the science communication efforts were expanded into a series of 5 videos, with all location work directed by Felix. Felix also wrote all the scripts, directed all field footage and interviews and establishing shots, as well as the detailed fossils shots.
Supplementary interviews and animation provided by Lloyd Visuals, who also edited the final pieces.
