Come learn lighting with Felix, live and in person

Felix’s in-person workshop will take your lighting to the next level.

Because the classes are small, Felix will take the time to learn about where each of you are at in your lighting journey and make sure you get what you need to level up. Think of this as a one-on one.

This is an opportunity for you to get to ask questions and take advantage of Felix’s broad knowledge of lighting as well as the photography industry.

He will show you what it takes to create portfolio worthy light every time and you may even find it’s simpler than you thought.

No-one else teaches like Felix. This is your chance to learn straight from the top.

It’s all about you

  • small class sizes

  • individual shoot time

  • access to Felix and his team

With small class sizes, everyone gets one-on-one time with Felix and his team. There’s no ‘group shooting’, each attendee gets individual time to photograph the model with each setup.

This is all about YOU. We want you to get as much out of this as possible. It’s not about Felix showing you what he can do, but rather showing you what YOU can do.

Felix is known for his candid and charming teaching style, and for making lighting simple to understand - to get it to ‘click’ for you.

You’ll walk away knowing how to create beautiful portraits with minimal equipment, and succeed in your business.

Great lighting makes you stand out from the competition, and helps serve your clients better.

There’s no complex maths involved, no ratios to learn, no jargon to master.

This class is for photographers at all levels, and not just for portrait photographers. All types of photographers will get a lot out of this.

The finer details

Breakfast:

We will serve breakfast and tea/coffee.

Introductions:

After a reasonable arrival time, we will spend some time at the beginning of the workshop to get to know each other, and for me to see some of each of your work. This is not a portfolio review, but an opportunity to learn about where you are at in your lighting journey and get to know you. We’ll then tailor the workshop to help each attendee attain the maximum progress in their lighting.

Lighting:

We will then spend some time going over some basics of lighting, and go right into demonstrations with our beautifully made up and styled model.

We will go through a series of different setups, each building on the last to give you the skills you need to learn how to create beautiful soft light in any indoor space. It’s simpler than you think.

Lunch:

Lunch will be provided and we will cater to any dietary restrictions.

Shoot time:

Each attendee gets one-on-one shoot time for each setup we work through. We will work through a variety of styling and lighting options.

Wrap:

We usually wrap at around 5 or 5:30pm and then after a small break will rejoin for dinner.

Dinner:

After the workshop you can join the optional dinner, a chance to relax and get to know each other more and chat with Felix and crew in a more casual setting.
